"Zero Drop-Mission Water": Concluding another water security project for the water-stressed island of Cyprus |
We are continuing our 10-year collaboration with Coca-Cola in Cyprus, implementing solutions which are saving more than 38 million litres of water annually and benefiting more than 80,000 residents. Implemented in 2022-23, "Zero Drop - Mission Water" is a water security project aiming to conserve water resources, promote the use of recycled water, and boost green spaces. Funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation, the project is implemented by GWP-Med with the collaboration of the Municipality of Aglantzia. The inauguration of the technical interventions was celebrated in April 2023. |

Zero Drop Folegandros island: The installation of the innovative 'Zero Drop water cooler' marks the completion of GWP-Med's 'Zero Drop' project in Folegandros, Greece, which boosted the island's water supply by an additional 42.000.000 litres of water annually. Implemented by GWP-Med in collaboration with the Municipality of Folegandros and funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Zero Drop project implemented a large scale optimization of the island’s desalination infrastructure, which successfully covered the daily shortfall in water supply during peak summer months, addressing water demand from the tourism sector. |
