The PRIMA NexusLabs project has officially hit the ground running, with its 1st Plenary Meeting held in Albacete, Spain on 12-14 May 2025. Bringing together 14 partners from 6 Mediterranean countries, NexusLabs is developing 9 Living Labs which will help bridge the gap between knowledge and practice in WEFE Nexus management. Since its launch in April, the project’s Living Lab leading teams—supported by scientific partners—have been shaping their visions for sustainable irrigation innovations that benefit all Nexus sectors. GWP-Med is leading the project's activities to disseminate best-practices across the Mediterranean. |

The Government of Montenegro has launched a strategic Green Climate Fund (GCF) Water Readiness Project aimed at laying the foundation for paradigm-shifting climate investments that strengthen the climate resilience of the country’s ecosystems, economy, and livelihoods through improved water management. The GCF Readiness Project, implemented by the Global Water Partnership as delivery partner and GWP-Med as executing partner, directly addresses this gap by building technical and institutional capacity to accelerate the identification and design of a robust and inclusive pipeline of bankable and climate-resilient water projects for Montenegro, particularly from the GCF. |

From agricultural fields in Thessaly, Greece, to the urban streets of the Netherlands, Nature-based Solutions for increased soil water retention capacity are gaining ground. As the partner leading Communication & Dissemination for the EU-funded SpongeWorks project, GWP-Med is documenting and disseminating the latest developments taking shape across its demonstration sites in Greece, France, the Netherlands & Germany. Horizon Europe SpongeWorks, brings together a consortium of 28 scientific and implementing partners across Europe, engaging in visible demonstrations, strong local engagement in its demonstrator basins in France, Greece and Netherlands/Germany. |
